MASCAC MXC All-Conference Team Announced

Manyok nets MASCAC MXC Runner of the Year

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg States junior Taban Manyok (Lynn, Mass.) and freshman Michael Burns (Worcester, Mass.) were named to the 2022 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Cross Country All-Conference team as announced by the conference office on Wednesday afternoon.

Manyok led all Fitchburg State honorees after being named MASCAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Year after taking top honors at the 2022 MASCAC Cross Country Championships on Saturday with a time of 26:14 over the 8K course.

This is the first time in Fitchburg State history that a student athlete earned back-to-back MASCAC MXC Runner of the Year honors by placing first overall at the MASCAC Men's Cross Country Championships.

Freshman Braden Boucher of Bridgewater State was selected MASCAC Rookie of the Year, while Marlee Berg of Westfield State earned MASCAC MXC BSN Sports Coach of the Year honors

Joining Manyok, Burns and Boucher on the 2022 MASCAC All-Conference team, were Connor Mackie and Samuel Steere of Bridgewater State, Patrick Walsh of Framingham State, Brandon Hager and John Nerkitopoulos from Westfield State and Ethan Goodreau and James Riley of Worcester State.
