Men’s Cross Country Places First At Jim Sheehan Invite
Burns finishes second overall with time of 29:30.1
Fitchburg, Mass. – The Fitchburg State University men's cross country team placed first overall with a total of 21 points as the Falcons hosted its annual Jim Sheehan Memorial Invitational this morning at the Doyle Conservation Center.

How It Happened
Sophomore Michael Burns (Worcester, MA) led the way for Fitchburg State with a second place time of 29:30.1, while freshman Joshua Lancaster (Holden, MA.) added a time of 30:50.5 over the 8K layout after finishing 4th overall.
Junior Cristian Bueno Campos (Lawrence, MA) followed in fifth with a time of 31:16.0, while sophomore Omar Elmi (Worcester MA) entered the chute with a sixth place time of 31:55.4
Senior Elijah Stathis Northampton (MA) (10th) crossed the line at 32:16.1, while graduate student Cameron Davis (Gardner, MA) was next at 32:22.8. Freshman Casey LaCombe (South Hadley, MA) rounded out the top effort for the Falcons with an 8K time of 32:43.0
