Men's Cross Country Race To 14th Place Finish At 2023 Keene State Invitational

Keene, NH – The Fitchburg State University men's cross country team placed 14th overall with a total of 404 points at the 2023 Keene State Invitational at the Owl Athletic Complex.

How It Happened
Sophomore Michael Burns (Worcester, MA) paced the Falcons, placing 27th overall with a time of 17:04.0 over the 8K course, while freshman Joshua Lancaster (Holden, MA) followed in 125th place at 29:25.8.
Sophomore Omar Elmi (Worcester, MA) was next with a time of 30:32.7, while sophomore Casey LaCombe (South Hadley, MA) entered the chute with a time of 30:38.0.
Sophomore Elijah Stathis (North Hampton, MA) posted a time of 30:50.6, while senior Tyssen LaBombard (Shelburne Falls, MA) crossed the finish line at 31:06.3. Graduate student Cameron Davis (Gardner, MA) rounded out the top efforts for the Green and Gold on the day with a time of 31:33.06
