Men’s Cross Country Race At Suffolk Invite
Burns paces the Falcons with a 38th place time of 26:51.1
Boston, MA – The Fitchburg State University men's cross country team finished 15th overall with a total of 444 points at the 2023 Suffolk Invitational at Franklin Park this afternoon.

How It Happened
Sophomore Michael Burns (Worcester, MA) led the way for the Falcons, placing 38th overall with a time of 26:51.1 over the 8K course, while junior Cristian Bueno Campos (Lawrence, MA) followed in 118th place with a time of 28:51.1
Graduate student Cameron Davis (Gardner, MA) entered the chute at 29:31.3, while freshman Joshua Lancaster (Holden, MA) was next for the Falcons with a time of 29:51.8.
Senior Tyssen LaBombard (Shelburne Falls, MA) registered a time of 30:07.8, while sophomore Omar Elmi (Worcester, MA) was next for the Green and Gold, registering a time of 31:12.5. Senior Angelo Pinto (Chaplin, CT) rounded out the top Falcons efforts on the day with a time of 31:56.1.

Landon Vaillancourt of UMass Lowell captured the 2023 Suffolk Invitational individual title, placing first overall with a time of 25:24.0
