Men’s Cross Country Excel At NCAA DIII NE Regional Championship
Burns paces the Falcons with a 65th place personal best time of 26:38.44
Hopkinton, NH – The Fitchburg State University men's cross country team finished 24th overall with a total of 724 points at the 2023 NCAA DIII New England Regional Championships this afternoon at the Hopkinton Fair Grounds.

How It Happened
Sophomore Michael Burns (Worcester, MA) paced the Falcons, placing 65th overall with a personal best time of 26:38.44 over the 8K course, while graduate student Cameron Davis (Gardner, MA) followed with a 157th place time of 29:31.45
Sophomore Omar Elmi (Worcester, MA) was next into the chute for the Green and Gold with a time of 30:10.54, while sophomore Joshua Lancaster (Holden, MA) notched a time of 30:27.71.
Senior Tyssen LaBombard (Shelburne Falls, MA) registered a time 30:40.54, while sophomore Casey LaCombe (South Hadley, MA) rounded out the top efforts for the Falcons on the day, crossing the finish line at 31:46.76.
