MASCAC MXC All-Conference Team Announced

Burns collects MASCAC All-Conference Honors

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State sophomore Michael Burns (Worcester, Mass.) was named to the 2023 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Cross Country All-Conference team as announced by the conference office on Thursday afternoon.

Burns notches his second consecutive MASCAC MXC All-Conference accolade after guiding the Falcons to a third place finish at the 2023 MASCAC Men's Cross Country Championships on Friday afternoon with an eighth place time of 28:58.48 over the 8K layout at Willard Park.

Freshman Nathan Sylven of Westfield State earned both MASCAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Year and Rookie of the Year honors, while Marlee Berg of Westfield State was named the 2023 BSN Sports Coach of Year as voted upon by the leagues coaches.

Joining Burns and Sylven on the 2023 MASCAC Men's Cross Country All-Conference team were Kyle Ackroyd, Ryan Goldman and Mitchell Parent of Bridgewater State, Patrick Walsh from Framingham State and Will Buckley, Abdi Nassir, John Nekitopoulos and Scott Porter of Westfield State.
