Johnson Nets MASCAC Softball Rookie Of The Week Honors

Fitchburg, Mass. native registers first weekly honor on the year

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State freshman infielder Audrey Johnson (Fitchburg, Mass.) was recently named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) softball rookie of the week as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon.

The first-year infielder receives her first weekly accolade of the season after hitting .500 (7-for-14) with a double, home run, five RBI and four runs scored in a 4-2 week for the Falcons. Johnson finished 2-for-3 with two runs scored, three RBI and her first collegiate homerun in a 10-2, game two triumph over Regis on Thursday before adding four hits, two runs scored and an RBI in a double-header sweep over Mass. Maritime on Saturday.
