Bio

Coach Hedge is in his 33rd year of coaching softball, including Babe Ruth, travel, and high school. He began the softball program at Windham (NH) high school and was the head coach at Manchester (NH) Memorial High School from 2003-09, where he was named NH Softball Coach of the Year. He has amassed a high school coaching record of 249-122.

Coach Hedge served as President of the NH Softball Coaches Association, is a member of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Region X Committee as well as an NFCA Coaching Mentor, and served as a member of the New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association Softball Committee. 

He coaches to share his love and knowledge of this great game and to help student-athletes succeed on and off the field; taking the lessons learned from softball and applying them to their everyday lives.

When not coaching, Coach Hedge enjoys seeing live theater with his wife, Lynn, as well as hiking and playing with his grandson and spending time with family. Coach Hedge has two grown daughters; Lindsay, an Elementary School Assistant Principal in Hawkins, Texas, and Rachel, a former DII softball pitcher who has also coached at the collegiate level and is a School Counselor in Manchester, NH.

A fun fact about Coach Hedge is he was involved in an Anti-Drug TV project that won an Emmy Award.
