Fitchburg State Nominated For NCAA DIII Special Olympics Spotlight Poll
Falcons Special Olympics Basketball story selected as finalist
FITCHBURG, Mass. – The Fitchburg State men's and women's basketball Special Olympics story, Fitchburg State Hosts Special Olympics Basketball Tournament has been nominated for this month's NCAA Division III Special Olympics Spotlight Poll.
The Fitchburg State men's and women's basketball teams partnered with the Massachusetts Special Olympics to host a Massachusetts Special Olympics Basketball Tournament that featured eight teams from across the region on Saturday, January 3rd.
The story with the highest number of votes on Friday, February 27th will be announced as the winner with the poll closing at 5 p.m. EST. The winning institution will be given $500 to use for its next Special Olympics event.
