Cote Tabbed WACBA Co-Player Of The Week
Ashby, Mass. native earns first weekly accolade of the season
FITCHBURG, Mass. – Senior guard Laura Cote was recently selected Worcester Area College Basketball Association (WACBA) Women's Co-Player of the Week as announced by the WACBA on Tuesday afternoon.
The senior guard averaged 15.5 points per contest and 7.5 steals per game in a 1-1 week for the Green and Gold. Cote posted 16 points, two assists and four steals including her 1,000th career points in a 63-58 win over Anna Maria on Thursday evening before registering a double-double with 15 points and 11 steals in a 66-62 overtime setback to Bridgewater State on Saturday.
The Fitchburg State women's basketball team (13-9, 4-6 MASCAC) returns to action on Tuesday as it hosts the Lancers of Worcester State University for a contest starting at 5:30 p.m.
