Cote Named Second Team All-Conference

WESTFIELD, Mass. - The Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) has announced its year-end awards for women's basketball and Fitchburg State senior guard Laura Cote has been named second team all-conference.

Cote led the Falcons this season averaging 12.2 points per game, while appearing in all 25 contests. The senior captain also recorded 105 rebounds, 70 assists, and 94 steals while also recording her 1,000th career point on February 12th in a 63-58 victory over Anna Maria.

Senior Jen Ashton of Westfield State headlined the all-conference selections with being named MASCAC Player of the Year after averaging 15.1 PPG, while leading the Owls to a 12-0 conference record. Nani Perez of Worcester State was tabbed rookie of the year after recording 152 points, 116 assists, and 39 steals in her rookie campaign.
