Coppinger Named To NEWBA Honor Roll

Boston, Mass. native earns third NEWBA accolade of the season

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Junior guard Catherine Coppinger (Boston, Mass.) was recently selected to the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) honor roll as announced by the NEWBA on Tuesday afternoon.

Coppinger earns her third NEWBA honor roll nod of the 2018-19 campaign after posting a double-double of 20 points and 20 rebounds as well as three steals and one block in a 61-54 triumph over conference rival Salem State on Wednesday evening in the Falcons lone contest of the week.

The Fitchburg State women's basketball team (7-6, 1-1 MASCAC) returns to action on Wednesday as it travels to MCLA to take on the Trailblazers for a MASCAC matchup, starting at 7:30 PM.
