Fitchburg, Mass. – The Fitchburg State University women's basketball team dropped a 66-39 decision to the Owls of Keene State this evening in non-conference action from the Parkinson Gymnasium.

How It Happened
1st quarter
Keene State took a 7-4 margin on a three-pointer by junior Hien Thach (Burlington, Vt.) before the Falcons knotted the score at 9-9 as junior Emma Thomson (York, Maine) buried a three ball. The Owls regained the lead though with senior Emily McPadden (Tyngsborogh, Mass.) hitting a jumper, en-route to a 21-12 advantage after one quarter of play.
2nd quarter
Keene State extended its lead (34-12) on a McPadden three-pointer, but sophomore Mishelle Logie (Attleboro, Mass.) buried a three ball for the Falcons to cut the deficit to 36-15. The Owls capped the first half scoring with sophomore Lilly Shlimon (Pelham, N.H.) to make the score 38-15 going into the break.
3rd quarter
Following the intermission, Fitchburg State cut the lead to 43-20 on a jumper by senior Kerry Brodbeck (Boston, Mass.) and a three-pointer from junior Angelina Marazzi (Manchester, N.H.) before Keene State pushed it margin to 47-20 on a Jordyn Burke (Bennington, Vt.). The Green and Gold closed out the scoring in the frame when sophomore Chloe Roberts (Hanson, Mass.) connected on a deep three-ball to cut the lead to 53-31.
4th quarter
The Falcons continued to chip away at the lead as Marazzi drained another three-pointer (56-35), but Keene State answered back with three-pointer of their own by McPadden. Following a layup from Roberts, the Owls secured the victory as Gonyea hit a bucket, resulting in the 66-39 final.
