Falcons Downed by Suffolk
Fitchburg, Mass. – The Fitchburg State Women's Basketball team fell 87-28 to the Rams of Suffolk University in non-conference action this evening at the Parkinson Gymnasium.

How It Happened
1st Quarter
The Rams raced out of the gates to a 12-0 advantage, sophomore Amanda DeAngelis (Londonderry, NH) had eight points in the streak. Fitchburg State had a bucket from senior Jadelen Harold (Nantucket, Mass.) and first year Rylie Harlow (Hanson, Mass.) tipped the twine for the Falcons to push the score to 14-4. DeAngelis ended the frame with a hoop to give Suffolk the 21-6 lead.
2nd Quarter
Trailing 32-6 after a pair of layups from senior Allie Lopes (Scituate, Mass.), the Falcons would put together a 5-0 run with a lay-in from senior Lovashia Rosario (Worcester, Mass.) and a three-pointer from Harlow to cut the deficit to 32-11. Grad student Jenni-Rose DiCecco (Falmouth, Mass.) completed a three-point play to extend the Rams lead to 40-13 headed to intermission.
3rd Quarter
Newcomer Stephanie Hart (Shirley, Mass.) connected from beyond the arc and Harlow and Harold added baskets midway through the quarter to pace the Falcons. Leading 62-22, the Rams ended with five straight including trey from Aisling Crowley (Braintree, Mass.) and a jumper from Sydney Ricard (Hooksett, NH).
4th Quarter
Freshman Ephemian Bailey (Maple Grove, Minn.) opened the final period for the Falcons with a layup and Rosario would add a three-pointer from downtown. The Rams finished with a 5-1 run to secure the 87-28 victory.

- Harlow paced the Green and Gold with 8 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists, while Bailey chipped in with six points and three caroms off the bench.
- For the Rams, DiCecco led the way with 22 points, 5 rebounds and six steals.
- Rams shot 34-for-71 (47.9%) from the field and (4-of-17) 23.5% from three-point range
