Women's Basketball Falls to Framingham

FITCHBURG, MA: Fitchburg State women's basketball fell to Framingham State this evening in conference action.

THE BASICS:

- Score: Framingham 83, Fitchburg 41

- Records: Framingham (16-2, 5-1 MASCAC), Fitchburg (4-14, 1-5 MASCAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  Framingham did most of their damage in the third quarter after racking up 35 points on 15-of-19 shooting for 78.9% from the floor. Flannery O'Connor and Kelsey Yelle led the way for the Rams, scoring 20 points each. O'Connor had eight rebounds, five assists, and three blocks to go along with her point total.

- The Falcons had three finish at the top in scoring. Rylie Harlow (Hanson, MA), Stephanie Hart (Shirley, MA), and Kaelynn Tanner (Lowell, MA) all had six points in this one, topping the team. Hart contributed nine rebounds as well.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

- Shooting: Framingham shot 41.5% from the floor, 10.5% from three, and 68.4% from the line. Fitchburg finished shooting 24.2% from the floor, 23.8% from three, and 75% from the line.

-  Rebounds: Framingham 56, Fitchburg 43

-  Assists: Framingham 17, Fitchburg 8
