FITCHBURG, Mass. (September 21, 2011) – The Fitchburg State women’s lacrosse team named two players to the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association’s (IWLCA) Division III Academic Honor Roll as announced by the organization this afternoon.

Graduate Constance Perry (Reading, Mass./Reading Memorial) and senior Michelle Lima (Medford, Mass./Medford) were among the 219 student-athletes honored by the IWLCA. She registered her first collegiate goal as a sophomore, leading the Falcons to an 18-1 victory over Elms College. In the classroom, Lima has also been solid, earning a 3.32 GPA while majoring in Criminal Justice.

The Fitchburg State women’s lacrosse team concluded the 2011 season with a program best record of 12-3, including a 5-2 mark in the New England Women’s Lacrosse Alliance. The Falcons advanced to their second consecutive post-season, falling to second-seeded Castleton State, 17-13.
