Laferriere Selected MASCAC Woman’s Lacrosse Player Of The Week

Tyngsboro, Mass. native picks up second weekly honor on the year

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Senior attacker Ali Laferriere was recently tabbed Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

Laferriere totaled 13 points on 12 goals and one assist as well as eight ground balls, 21 draw controls and four caused turnovers in a 2-1 week for the Green and Gold.

The fourth-year Falcon registered a game-best eight points on seven scores and one helper, including her 200th career goal to go along with four ground balls, nine draw controls and one caused turnover in an 18-8 win over Salem State on Tuesday before adding three markers, four ground balls, six draw controls and one caused turnover in an 11-7 triumph against Regis on Thursday.

Ali concluded the week, posting two points on two goals scored with six draw controls and a pair of caused turnovers in a 12-6 setback to Bridgewater State on Saturday afternoon.

The Fitchburg State women's lacrosse team (8-7, 2-3 MASCAC) returns to action on Wednesday as it travels to Worcester State University to take on the Lancers for a contest starting at 7 p.m.
