Falcons Collect Three MASCAC All-Conference Accolades

Crutchfield, C. Long and Laferriere named to MASCAC All-Conference First Team

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Senior Ali Laferriere, junior Carrie Long and classmate Lia Crutchfield were named to the 2017 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Lacrosse All-Conference First Team as announced by the conference office on Wednesday afternoon.

Laferriere earns her fourth All-Conference selection after netting a team-leading 61 points on 48 scores and 13 helpers to go along with 27 ground balls, 64 draw controls and 14 caused turnovers, while Crutchfield picks up third MASCAC All-Conference nomination, totaling four points on three goals and one assists as well as 14 draw controls, 49 ground balls and 33 caused turnovers.

Joining Laferriere and Crutchfield on the MASCAC All-Conference First Team was C. Long, who collects her second straight All-Conference honor after posting 34 points on 27 markers and seven assists as well as a team-best 94 ground balls, 56 draw controls and 88 caused turnovers.

The Fitchburg State University Women's Lacrosse team recently concluded its 2017 campaign with an overall record of 11-8 and a 4-3 clip within conference play.
