Five Falcons Named to IWLCA DIII Academic Honor Roll

Lacrosse Team Name to IWLCA Honor Squad

 

Fitchburg, Mass. – Five Fitchburg State University lacrosse upperclassmen were recently named to the IWLCA (Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches' Association) Zags Sports Division III Academic Honor Roll. 

Seniors Michelle Hennessey (Londonderry, NH) and Marguerite Belcher (Quincy, Mass.) along with juniors Alyssa Anderson (Lowell, Mass.), Molly Cote (Lowell, Mass.) and Nicole Kopacz (Tewksbury, Mass.) were the five Falcons honored.

To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater. The IWLCA honored 653 student-athletes from 173 different institutions on the 2019 IWLCA Zag Sports Division III Academic Honor Roll.

Along with the individual selections the entire Lacrosse team was selected to 2019 IWLCA Zag Sports Academic Honor Squad.

To qualify for this prestigious honor, the women's lacrosse team must have posted a 3.0 or higher team GPA for the academic year. The IWLCA has named 312 schools across Division I, II, III, and NAIA as IWLCA Zag Sports Academic Honor Squads for the 2018-19 academic year
