Henniker, NH. – The Fitchburg State women's lacrosse fell to the Pilgrims of New England College 11-8 in non-conference action on Saturday morning.

How It Happened
The Green and Gold raced out to a 2-1 lead with goals from freshman Sophia Yates (Woodstock, Vt.) and senior Cali Laakso (Fitchburg, Mass.). The Pilgrims answered with a pair to take a 3-2 lead.
Fitchburg State forged ahead (4-3) with an 8-meter shot from sophomore Delaney Ponder (East Bridgewater, Mass.) and a score from senior Eva Kozikowski (Portsmouth, NH). Four unanswered goals from NEC gave the hosts the 7-4 lead at intermission.
Sophomore Abaigeal Gilman (Clinton, Mass.) potted a pair in the third frame for the Falcons to cut the deficit to 8-6. New England would extend the lead to 11-6. Fitchburg State would add a man-advantage goal from Gilman and the second of the game for Laakso.
