Mitchell Tabbed MASCAC Women’s Soccer Player Of The Week

Millbury, Mass. native earns first weekly accolade of the season

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Fitchburg State sophomore midfielder Mikaela Mitchell (Millbury, Mass./Millbury) was selected Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Soccer Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

The first-year Falcon netted six points on three goals, including her first collegiate tally to help lead the Fitchburg State women's soccer team to a 7-2 season opening victory over the Wildcats of Bay Path College on Friday afternoon.

The Fitchburg State women's soccer team (1-0, 0-0 MASCAC) returns to action on Tuesday as it travels to Becker College to take on the Hawks for a non-conference matchup, starting at 4:00 PM.
