Mitchell Selected MASCAC Women’s Soccer Rookie Of The Week

Millbury, Mass. native earns third weekly accolade of the season

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State sophomore Mikaela Mitchell (Millbury, Mass./Millbury) was recently named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

The first-year midfielder collects her third weekly honor of the year after netting the game winning tally for the Green and Gold in a 1-0 triumph over the Trailblazers of MCLA on Friday evening in the Falcons lone contest of the week.

The Fitchburg State women's soccer team (3-8-1, 2-3-0 MASCAC) returns to action on Saturday as it travels to Westfield State University for a contest starting at 11:00 AM.
