Booth Tabbed Next Women’s Soccer Coach

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Fitchburg State University Director of Athletics Matthew Burke announced the appointment of Jeb Booth as the school's Women's Soccer Head Coach.

"Jeb brings a tremendous amount of knowledge, experience and success to our women's soccer program," Burke said.  "He has a strong understanding of what it means to be a NCAA Division III athlete and is committed to our department goals of educating student-athletes, competing at the highest level and building a community."

Booth comes to Fitchburg State after serving three seasons as an assistant coach at Framingham State University from 2016-2018. During his tenure, Jeb's primary responsibilities included technical development during the season and developing off-season ball control sessions as well as breaking down opponent formations and identifying strengths and weakness.

"I look forward to working with a tremendous group of student-athletes and restoring a culture of winning, said Booth. "The women's soccer program will be built on core values such as integrity, pride, competition, and academic excellence."

In addition, Booth is also a head coach and assistant director of the Scorpions Soccer Club in the metro west region based out of Medway, Mass. as well as the head coach of the New England Mutiny Women's Soccer team in Ludlow, Mass.

Jeb began his coaching career as an assistant coach of the Elite Soccer Academy in August of 2009 before they merged with the Scorpions SC. Following that, Booth was named the co-head coach of the Montrose School girls' soccer team for the 2014 season.

He graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and went on to earn a Master's of Arts degree in Sociology from San Diego State University in 1994. Booth also holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from Northeastern University (2002).

Jeb currently resides in Millis, Mass.
