Vaudo earns first collegiate victory for Green and Gold
Quincy, Mass. – The Fitchburg State women's soccer team defeated the Lions of Eastern Nazarene College, 4-2 this evening in non-conference action from the Veterans' Memorial Field.

How It Happened
Fitchburg State opened the scoring at the 6:30 mark of the first half when freshman Alisha Praileau (Ashby, Mass.) deposited a shot inside the far post for her third tally on the season for the 1-0 advantage.
Fitchburg State doubled its (2-0) in the 19th minute of action as newcomer Adrianna Westcott (Sayreville, N.J.) lofted a shot into the upper right corner for her team-leading fourth score of the 2022 campaign.
The Green and Gold pushed the 3-0 at the 37:40 mark with junior Ashley Porter (Upton, Mass.) finding the back of the net for her fourth tally of the year.
Following the intermission, the Falcons extended the margin ten minutes later as sophomore Kendra Peretzman (Randolph, Mass.) fired a shot into the left side of the net for her second marker on the year to make the score 4-0.
Eastern Nazarene cut the deficit to 4-1 at the 79:30 mark when sophomore Kayla Dorn (Hampton, Ill.) netted her first tally of the 2022 season. The Lions responded roughly one minute later with senior Michala O'Donoghue (San Bruno, Calif.) struck for her third goal on the year, but that's as close as the hosts would get as Fitchburg State held on for the 4-2 victory.
