Fitchburg State University Director of Athletics Sue Lauder has announced the hiring of Whitney Rogers as the next head women’s soccer coach. Rogers joins the Falcons staff after serving as assistant coach at Mount Saint Mary College in Newburg, New York.

Rogers brings a wealth of knowledge and experience and is going to be a great addition to the Falcons’ staff.” Said Lauder. “She has the initiative and drive that will help propel our women’s soccer program to the next level. We are very fortunate to have Whitney join us and we are excited to see her and the team succeed.”

During her tenure at MSMC, the Knights posted a 15-4-2 record including an unbeaten 9-0 in conference play to capture the Skyline Conference regular season crown. Whitney’s primary responsibility was recruiting, strength and conditioning and overall academic monitoring of the student-athletes.

Prior to MSMC, Rogers has experience coaching with the Olympic Development Program in Massachusetts, and she holds a United States Soccer Federation level C coaching license.

I couldn’t be more excited for the opportunity at Fitchburg State University as the Head Women’s Soccer Coach,” said Rogers. “I value what soccer has taught me and look forward to coaching these exceptional young women and helping them enjoy every bit of their experience as a Falcon.”

A 2013 graduate of Bryant University, Rogers spent two years on the pitch for the Bulldogs after transferring from Bentley University, where she was a two-year starter for the Falcons.
