Woolley Named MASCAC Women’s Indoor Track Athlete Of The Week

Malden, Mass. native collects first weekly honor of the year

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Senior Annie Woolley (Malden, Mass.) was recently tabbed Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

Woolley earns her first weekly accolade on the season after placing first overall in the 60 meter hurdles with an Open New England qualifying time of 9.02 seconds to set a new meet record in the process.

The fourth-year Falcon also notched a pair of seventh places finishes in the 200 meter (26.80) and the 60 meter dash (8.16) to qualify for DIII New England's in both events to lead the way for Fitchburg State at the sixth annual UMass Boston Winter Invite on Saturday.

The Fitchburg State women's indoor track team returns to action this weekend as it travels to Plymouth State University for a meet starting at 11:00 A.M.
