Socha Tabbed MASCAC WITK Field Athlete Of The Week

Chicopee, Mass. native earns first weekly accolade on the year

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State junior Megan Socha (Chicopee, Mass.) was recently selected Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.

The third-year Falcons collects her first weekly honor of the season after finishing fourth overall in the pole vault with a mark of 2.65 meters, while also placing ninth in the high jump with mark of 1.81 meters for the Green and Gold at the Reggie Poyau Invitational, hosted by Brandeis University on Saturday.

The Fitchburg State women's indoor track team returns to action on Sunday as they compete in the 2020 Great Boston Track Club Invite, hosted by Harvard University, starting at 10:00 AM.
