2018 Fitchburg State Women’s Outdoor Track Schedule Announced

Falcons scheduled to open 2018 season at Bridgewater State on March 24th  

Fitchburg, Mass. – The Fitchburg State women's outdoor track and field's schedule has been announced with the Falcons slated to compete in a total of nine meets over the course of the 2018 season.

"We have a really good outdoor track schedule this year. With our two annual home meets (Jim Sheehan & Eric Loeschner), we are looking forward to hosting those two meet in April." Said Fitchburg State men's outdoor track & field head coach Jim Jellison.

"With the potential for 3-4 national qualifiers for the 2018 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships this season, we are looking to carry the success of our Indoor track season into the spring." Fitchburg State women's indoor & outdoor track & field head coach Jamie Aubuchon continued.

The Falcons open their 2018 outdoor season on Saturday, March 24th as they compete in the 2018 BSU Bear Outdoor Invitational at Bridgewater State before travel to Tufts next weekend (3/31) for the 2018 Tufts Jumbos Classic.

The Green and Gold follow that up as they host their annual Jim Sheehan Memorial Alumni Invite on Saturday, April 7th at Elliot Field. Fitchburg State then hits the road as it visits Mount Holyoke for a meet the following weekend (4/14).

Fitchburg State returns to Elliot Field on Saturday, April 21st as it hosts it second home meet of the 2018 campaign, hosting its annual Eric Loeschner Memorial Invite before competing in the 2018 MASCAC/Alliance Championships, hosted by Eastern Connecticut State (4/28).

The Falcons continue its 2018 slate on Friday/Saturday as they compete in the 2018 DIII New England Championships, hosted by MIT (5/4-5/5), while hitting the road again the following weekend as Fitchburg State races at the 2018 All-New England Championships at Eastern Connecticut State University (5/10-5/12).

The Green and Gold conclude their 2018 season on May 23-26 as select member compete in the 2018 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
