Anderson Named MASCAC Women’s Outdoor Track Rookie Of The Week

Winchendon, Mass. native picks up first weekly honor of the season

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Fitchburg State sophomore Paige Anderson (Winchendon, Mass.) was recently named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Outdoor Track Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

The first-year Falcon took top honors in the triple jump with a mark of 10.17 meters, while adding a second place effort in the high jump with a jump of 1.40 meters for the Green and Gold. Anderson concluded her day, finishing fourth in the 200 meter with time of 29.71 seconds as Fitchburg State hosted its annual Eric Loeschner Memorial Invitational on Saturday at Elliot Field

The Fitchburg State Women's Outdoor Track team returns to action this Saturday as the Falcons host the 2019 MASCAC/New England Alliance Outdoor Track Championships, starting at 10:00 AM.
