Rams Roll Past Falcons in Volleyball, 3-0

Framingham, Mass. – Framingham State University outgunned the Falcons, posting a 3-0 victory over the Fitchburg State University volleyball team in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action on Friday night.

By the Numbers

The Rams were paced on the attach by seven kills and two blocks from senior Casie Thurber (Springfield, Mass.), while freshman Michaela Cronin (Hamden, Mass.) added six kills and two blocks.  Sophomore Deirdre Fay (Cornwall, NY) added six kills, three aces and nine digs.  Junior Mackenzie Whalen (Norton, Mass.) recorded 25 set assists with eight digs and five aces, while senior Vicki Anderson (Attleboro, Mass.) added seven digs.

The Falcons were led by four kills and seven digs from junior Kristina Osborne (Ashby, Mass.), while junior Annie Woolley (Malden, Mass.) and junior Kathryn Carroll (Shrewsbury, Mass.) added two kills apiece.  Senior Serene Pease (Ashland, Mass.) chipped in with six digs, while Amy Coelho (Bellingham, Mass.) added five.
