Chicopee, Mass. – The Fitchburg State University women's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to the Blazers of Elms College in non-conference action this evening at the Maguire Center.

How It Happened

Junior outside hitter Nicole Sylvester (Everett, Mass.) led the way for the Falcons with eight digs and three kills, while freshman libero Jessica Peirce (Brentwood, N.H.) chipped in with a team-best 13 digs and one service ace. Junior setter Jaquelyn Manyak (Bolton, Mass.) was also solid for the Green and Gold, registering four assists, one service ace and one dig.

For Elms, freshman setter Dakota Stewart (Victoria, Tex.) paced the Blazers with 11 digs, 22 assists, six kills and five service aces, while sophomore outside hitter Hannah Adams (Deerfield, Mass.) added a game-best 14 digs, five kills and one assist. Junior outside hitter Danielle Redding (Las Vegas, Nev.) finished with six digs, two assists, 11 kills and five service aces.

Fitchburg State freshman libero Jessica Peirce (Brentwood, N.H.) ranks fifth in the MASCAC in digs per set with an average of 4.06 digs per set.
