North Dartmouth, Mass. – The Fitchburg State University women's cross country returned to action this afternoon, placing 26th overall at the 2017 UMass Dartmouth Cross Country Invitational.

Fitchburg State was led by junior Amy Kelly (Stoughton, Mass./Stoughton), who placed 88th overall with a time of 20:11.8 over the 5K layout, while freshman Kambrynn Bowman (Norton, Mass./Norton) turned a time of 20:54.0.
Junior Casey Taylor (Chelmsford, Mass./Chelmsford) was next for the Falcons, registering a time of 20:59.6, while senior Shawna Ryan (Hanson, Mass./Whitman-Hanson) entered the chute with a time of 22:20.6. Rounding out the top seven performers for the Green and Gold were senior Nicole Gaffney (Paxton, Mass./Wachusett Regional) (22:51.4), newcomer Krysta Grider (Hopedale, Mass.) (25:14.0) and sophomore Jennifer Desilvestre (Beverly, Mass./Beverly) (26:29.5).
