Keene, N.H.. – The Fitchburg State University women's cross country team placed sixth overall at the 2017 Keene State College Invitational this afternoon after totaling 168 points.

How It Happened

The Falcons were led this afternoon by junior Amy Kelly (Stoughton, Mass.), who placed 21st overall with a time of 20:27, while classmate Casey Taylor (Chelmsford, Mass.) posted a time of 20:41 with a 28th place finish over the 5K layou

Freshman Kambrynn Bowman (Norton, Mass.) followed with a time of 21:19, while junior Jennifer Desilvestre (Beverly, Mass.) entered the chute with a time of 25:48. Sophomore Danielle Neild (Auburn, N.H.) and freshman Isabella Denio-Miller (Jasper, Ind.) rounded out the Falcons top efforts with times of 27:43 and 28:12 respectively.

Inside the Numbers

Fitchburg State placed fifth overall at last year's Keene State Invite with a total of 168 points

Brandeis claimed first place by amassing a total of 27 points

Junior Emily Bryson (Quincy, Mass.) of Brandeis University won the meet with a time of 17:38.
