Boston, Mass. – The Fitchburg State University women's cross country team placed 11th overall (out of 21 teams) with a total of 291 points at the 2019 Suffolk University Cross Country Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

How It Happened

Junior Olivia Mullins (Plaistow, N.H.) paced Fitchburg State with an 11th place time of 20:13.6 over the 5K layout to earn the coveted t-shirt award, while freshman Lilah McAndrew (Old Lyme, Conn.) followed with a time of 20:35.3 to finish 30th overall.

Newcomer Abigail Murphy (Quincy, Mass.) was next to enter the chute for the Green and Gold with a time of 21:08.7 with a 34th place effort, while classmate Erin Maida (Danbury, Conn.) crossed the finish line at 24:21.3. Rounding out the top finishers for Fitchburg State was freshman Nicole Cofer (Lowell, Mass.), who crossed the finish line at 25:52.0.
