Falcons Soar At NCAA DIII NE Regional Championships

Mullins paces Fitchburg State with solid time of 24:31.4

Brunswick, Maine. – The Fitchburg State University women's cross country team placed 39th overall (out of 54 teams) with a total of 1174 points at the NCAA Division III New England Women's Cross Country Regional Championships today, hosted by Bowdoin College.

How It Happened

Junior Olivia Mullins (Plaistow, N.H.) paced Fitchburg State with a solid time of 24:31.4 over the 6K layout, while newcomer Abigail Murphy (Quincy, Mass.) was next with a time of 24:32.6.

Freshman Lilah McAndrew (Old Lyme, Conn.) followed with a time of 24:56.4, while senior Vera Ziegler notched a time of 27:59.6. Freshman Christine Nibitanga (Worcester, Mass.) rounded out the top effort for the Green and Gold, turning in a time of 32:24.1.
