Westfield, MA - The Fitchburg State University women's cross country team placed thirteenth overall at the 2021 James Earley Invitational hosted by Westfield State University this afternoon.

How It Happened
Junior Lilah McAndrew (Old Lyme, Conn.) placed 27th overall with a personal record of 19:46.18 over the 5K course, while classmate Abigail Murphy finished next with a time of 20:02.45.
Freshman Joy Wambui (Danvers, Mass.) posted a personal record on the day, scampering home with a time of 21:45.63, while Meryem Majaoudou (Ayer, Mass.) topped the top 100 at number 98 with a time of 22:35.01.
Juniors Nicolette Kennedy (Groveland, Mass.) and Courtney Brouillet (Fitchburg, Mass.) rounded out the Green and Gold's top runners.
