Falcons Race at Bowdoin Invitational
Brunswick, Maine. – The Fitchburg State women's cross-country team placed eighth at the Bowdoin College Invitational. The course is a preview for the NCAA Regionals later this fall.

How It Happened
Senior Abigail Murphy (Quincy, Mass.) led the Falcons with a 35th place time of 25:05.54 over the 6K course. Skye Goba (Norton, Mass.) continued with her strong first year with a time 25:47.78.
Freshman Diana Marquez-Frias (Lowell, Mass.) and Erin Donelan (Fitchburg, Mass.) both had top 100 finishes. Marquez-Frias crossed the finish line in 75th (29:02.62) while Donelan was 97th (35:07.67).
Rounding out the Falcon finishers were senior Courtney Brouillet (Fitchburg, Mass.), Marjorie Veliotis (Stoughton, Mass.) and Alisha Marshall (Oregon, Ohio).
Tufts won the meet with a total of 22 points.
