The 1952 Men's Soccer Team

The 1952 undefeated men's soccer team. More than 50 years ago, the men's soccer team annually thrilled fans and garnered regional and national accolades for its soccer prowess, breaking winning-streak records and winning conferences. Three years in a row the team lost just one game. In 1952, the team achieved the first undefeated soccer season in Fitchburg State history.

Team members include Co-Captains Joseph Farias and Alan Foresman, as well as high scorer Stanley Bernatowicz, Ralph Bessler, Robert Bombard, Curtis Brooks, Richard Condon, Vincent De Novellis, Charles Duren, Jack Farrell, Russell Gleason, Robert Goodwin, Phil Hugo, Robert Iosue, John Lapean, David Murphy, Paul Norling, Richard Nyman, Nelson Rebello, David Ringey, George Swallow, Norman Swicker, Francis Trainor, Edmund Sullivan, Frank Viscardi, Harland Williams and Phil Yosway.
