Eramo Earns MASCAC Baseball Rookie Of The Week Honors

Shirley, Mass. native picks up first weekly accolade of the season

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Fitchburg State freshman infielder Vincent Eramo (Shirley, Mass.) was recently tabbed Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Baseball Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

The first-year outfield batted .333 (5-for-15) with two doubles, two walks and six RBI in a 4-0 week for the Green and Gold. Eramo went 1-for-1 with a double, two walks and three RBI in a 6-2 victory against Lasell on Tuesday before adding a double and two RBI in a 9-7 triumph over Mass. Maritime on Friday.

Polished off the week with a combined 3-for-7 effort, including an RBI in a double header sweep over the Buccaneers of Mass. Maritime Academy on Saturday.

The Fitchburg State baseball team (12-5, 3-0 MASCAC) returns to action on Wednesday as it travels to Worcester State to take on the Lancers for a MASCAC tilt, starting at 3:30 PM.
