Lamprey Named LEC Field Hockey Goaltender And Rookie Of The Week

Cherry Valley, Mass. native earns second and third weekly honors of the year

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State freshman goalkeeper Colleen Lamprey (Cherry Valley, Mass. was recently tabbed both Little East Conference (LEC) Field Hockey Goaltender and Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

The first year Falcon picks up her second and third weekly accolades on the season after making 23 saves with a 1.00 goals against average and a .958 save percentage for the Green and Gold in a 2-1 double overtime, shootout victory over Westfield State University on Thursday evening.

The Fitchburg State field hockey team (2-11, 1-6 LEC) returns to action on Tuesday as it travels to Keene State College for a conference tilt, starting at 6:30 PM.
