Kim Consenza (3rd Season) (12-26)

Kim Cosenza enters her third season at the helm of the field hockey program in 2020. 

Cosenza comes to Fitchburg State after serving one season as the head field hockey coach at Worcester State University from 2015-16. During her tenure, Kim led the Lancers to their first appearance in the Little East Conference (LEC) semi-final field hockey post-season tournament since 2006, while having 11 players recognized by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) during the 2015 season.

Prior to Worcester State, Cosenza spent three seasons as the head coach of the field hockey team at Elms College in Chicopee, Mass. While at Elms, she guided the Blazers to its conference championship game in 2012.

Kim began her collegiate coaching career at Springfield College, serving as an assistant coach from 2009-2011. At Springfield, she assisted in recruiting, fundraising, budget preparation, film editing and other responsibilities.

In addition, Cosenza served as the head coach of the All-Star Field Hockey Camp in Springfield, Mass. from 2007-2012, instructing skills and concepts to various skill levels. During her collegiate career Kim was a four-year defender for the Worcester State University field hockey and women’s lacrosse teams.

She graduated from Worcester State University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Education and went on to earn a Master's of Physical Education Degree in Athletic Administration from Springfield College in 2011.

Kim currently reside in Fitchburg, Mass. with her husband Paul and sons Jack and Max.
