McGrath Named MASCAC Ice Hockey Goaltender Of The Week

Worcester, Mass. native nets second weekly accolade of the season

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Sophomore goaltender Brian McGrath (Worcester, Mass.) was recently selected Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Ice Hockey Goalie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

The second-year netminder earns his second weekly honor of the 2018-19 campaign after stopping 43 of the 44 shots he faced with a save percentage of .977 in the Falcons 2-1 victory against Plymouth State University on Thursday evening.

The Fitchburg State ice hockey team (7-6-2, 4-2-2 MASCAC) returns to action on Thursday as it travels to Framingham State University to take on the Rams for a conference matchup, starting at 7:30 P.M.
