Falkenhagen stops 24 shots in debut for Green and Gold
Fitchburg, Mass. The Fitchburg State ice hockey team dropped a tough 4-0 decision to the Owls of Keene State College this evening in non-conference action from the Wallace Civic Center.

How It Happened
Fitchburg State nearly opened the scoring at 8:54 mark of the middle frame when junior Nicholas Weber (Peoria, AZ) fired a shot that hit the post to keep the contest scoreless.
Keene State grabbed a 1-0 edge with one minute remaining in the frame as sophomore Marcus Chrisafideis (Marlborough, MA) gathered a feed from freshmen Chase Carney (Lynnfield, MA) and Peter Unger (Stamford, CT) and deposited a shot into the back of the net for his seventh marker on the year.
In the third period of play, the Owls doubled the lead midway through the stanza with Chrisafideis receiving a pass from Carney and putting a shot inside the near post for his second marker of the contest to make the score 2-0.
The visitors secured the victory at the 15:40 mark of the final period when Chase connected on his third score of the 2024-25 campaign with an assist from senior Corey Tumenas (Leominster, MA) before sophomore Filip Tjarnhell (Vasteras, Sweden) capped the scoring with his two goal of the year, resulting in the 4-0 final.
