Hanratty Tabbed NCAA DIII Statistical Champion

E. Bridgewater, Mass. native earns national accolades

FITCHBURG, Mass. (January 24, 2014) – Junior goalkeeper Aidan Hanratty (E. Bridgewater, Mass.) was recently crowned the NCAA Division III statistical champion for save percentage as announced by the national office earlier this week.

This year, Hanratty witnessed a breakout season for the Fitchburg State men's soccer team, leading the Falcons to their second consecutive playoff berth. The third year net-minder ranked first in the MASCAC with a minimal 0.59 goals against average, while posting 101 saves over 1527 minutes played.

In addition, his .910 save percentage ranked first among all NCAA Division III schools, while his 0.59 goals against average ranked 14th in the nation. For his efforts, he was named to the 2013 MASCAC All-Conference second team.

The Fitchburg State men's soccer team concluded its 2013 season with an overall record of 6-8-5 and a 1-2-4 clip in the MASCAC.
