WORCESTER, Mass.  – The Fitchburg State University men's soccer team was in action this afternoon, dropping a 2-0 decision to the Lancers of Worcester State University in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action at Coughlin Field.

Fitchburg State nearly took the lead in the 11th minute of action as senior forward Jared Burns put a pair of shots on frame, but Lancer net minder Jason Barrett turned aside both scoring chance to keep the Falcons off the scoreboard.

Worcester State grabbed the lead at the 36:22 mark when sophomore midfielder Andre Ipojuca fired a shot into the back of the net for his third tally of the season to make the score 1-0 going into the intermission.
