Pina Named MASCAC Men’s Soccer Rookie Of The Week

Somerville, Mass. native earns first weekly honor of the year

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Fitchburg State freshman midfielder Sebastian Pina (Somerville, Mass.) was recently selected Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Soccer Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

The first-year Falcon collects his first weekly accolade on the season after totaling four points on one goal and two assists in a 2-0 week for the Green and Gold. Pina netted one assist in a 2-1, comeback victory against UMass Dartmouth on Wednesday before adding one score and one helper in a 3-0 triumph over MCLA on Friday evening.

The Fitchburg State Men's Soccer team (4-3-1, 1-1 MASCAC) returns to action on Wednesday as it travels to Nichols College to take on the Bison for a contest starting at 3:00 PM.
