Loyd Tabbed MASCAC MSOC Rookie Of The Week

Kingston, Mass. native registers third weekly honor of the year

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Fitchburg State freshman forward Alexander Loyd (Kingston, Mass.) was recently selected Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Soccer Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

The first-year Falcon earns his third weekly accolade on the season tallying four points on two goals scored. Loyd notched one goal in a 2-1, double overtime setback to Clark University on Wednesday before adding one marker in a 1-1 double overtime draw with Mass. Maritime on Saturday evening.

The Fitchburg State Men's Soccer team (5-5-2, 2-1-1 MASCAC) returns to action on Wednesday as it hosts the Cardinals of Wesleyan University for a non-conference tilt, starting at 7:00 PM.
