McWhinnie-Armstead Named MASCAC Men’s Indoor Field Athlete Of The Week

Lowell, Mass. native earns first weekly accolade of the season

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Fitchburg State junior Christian McWhinnie-Armstead (Lowell, Mass.) was recently selected Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.

The third-year Falcon collects his first weekly honor on the year after earning top honors in the high jump with an Open New England qualifying height of 2.05 meters as Fitchburg State opened its 2019-20 season at the 2019 Emmanuel Invitational.

The Fitchburg State men's indoor track team is off until after the break as they compete in the 2020 Reggie Poyau Invitational, hosted by Brandeis University on Saturday, January 11th, starting at 10:00 AM.
