J. Darrigo Named MASCAC MXC Runner Of The Week

Tewksbury, Mass. native earns first weekly accolade of the year

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State senior Joseph Darrigo (Tewksbury, Mass./Tewksbury) was recently selected Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

The fourth-year Falcon picks up his first weekly honor of the season afternoon after placing 42nd overall at the 2018 Purple Valley Invitational with a time of 27:14 over the 8K course on Saturday morning at Mount Greylock High School.

The Fitchburg State men's cross country team returns to action on Saturday, September 29th as the Falcons compete at the 2018 Keene State Cross Country Invitational in a meet starting at 11:00 AM.
