Marazzi Selected To NEWBA Honor Roll

Manchester, N.H. native earns second NEWBA honor of the season

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Junior guard Angelina Marazzi, Manchester, N.H.) was recently named to the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) honor roll as announced by the NEWBA on Tuesday morning.

Marazzi earns her second NEWBA honor roll nod of the year after averaging 28 points, 3.5 rebounds, and one assist per game while shooting 52.8% from the field in a 1-1 week for the Falcons.

The second-year Falcon netted a game-best 30 points, two rebounds and one assist in a 76-60 setback to Salem State on Wednesday before adding a 26 point effort with five rebounds, four assists and two steals in a 65-62 triumph over Pine Manor on Saturday.

The Fitchburg State women's basketball team (9-11, 2-6 MASCAC) returns to action on Wednesday as it hosts the Trailblazers of MCLA for a MASCAC matchup, starting at 7:30 PM.
